Questa settimana torna Kino³, con il primo lungometraggio di Ben Rivers
TWO YEARS AT SEA

Ben Rivers filma Jake Williams e il suo auto-esilio in una foresta dell'Aberdeenshire. Le scene di una vita decisamente non comune sono raccolte con infinto rispetto e sensibilità. Le irregolarità del 16mm sviluppato a mano accompagnano una vecchia audiocassetta, una zattera fatta a mano, una roulotte che vola e la vita di Jake. Two Years at Sea è un'ode meravigliosa, concreta e sussurrata, all'analogico, alla terra, all'imperfezione, all'umano.
Ben Rivers regista e artista visivo, ha ricevuto una serie di incarichi e riconoscimenti internazionali, fra cui il London Artist Film and Video Award del 2007. É stato insignito del Paul Hamlyn Award for Artists nel 2010 e del Baloise Art Prize nel 2011. Fra le proiezioni e le retrospettive dedicate all'artista sono da citare quelle della Mostra Internazionale del Nuovo Cinema di Pesaro, del London Film Festival, di Punto de Vista, di Indielisboa. Two Years at Sea, recentemente premiato a CPH:DOX, è stato presentato in anteprima alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, dove ha vinto il Premio Fipresci, e ai festival di New York (NYFF - Views from the Avanguard), Londra, e Vienna (Viennale).
